Everyone needs counseling...
Life is filled with difficulties. Whether you experience personal struggles or are walking alongside people in deep pain or confusion, there will come a time when you are looking for answers. The Bible is clear that God has given us these answers for living in a broken world in a way that is pleasing to Him (2 Cor. 5:9).
Biblical counseling is an act of intensive discipleship where a counselor listens intentionally (Prov. 18:13), examines the Word (Heb. 4:12), and carefully offers counsel and instruction in order to grow in maturity and wisdom (Col. 1:28). We believe that it is God who provides transformation in the mind, teaches us new habits, and conforms us to the image of Christ (Rom. 12).
Biblical Counseling is a free resource to members and visitors of Cross Fellowship Church.
This is your Team section. It's a great place to introduce your team and talk about what makes it special, such as your culture and work philosophy. Don't be afraid to illustrate personality and character to help users connect with your team.
The Process
Fill out the Online Request Forms
The Personal Intake Form will give the counselor an idea of what you're struggling with and help us know which counselor to pair you with. A Confidentiality Agreement will be signed and discussed on your first meeting.
Get Assigned to a Counselor
Our team is growing, but there may be a small wait while you are being paired with a counselor. This could take up to a few weeks.
Begin the Counseling Process
Your first meeting will typically be an hour and a half, with subsequent sessions lasting an hour. Typically, counseling can take anywhere from 6-10 sessions, but depends on the issue at hand. Timing and scheduling can be discussed in your first meeting.
Counseling Forms
During counseling, you will be required to fill out preliminary intake forms that help your counselor prepare for your first session. These forms are listed below!
Articles, blog posts, and conference messages are intended to help you think through problems biblically.
Counseling Training
We believe that every Christian is a counselor. This is not to say that every Christian is a good counselor. We all need to grow in our skill in asking questions and providing biblical care. Here are some of the ways you can be trained as a member of Cross Fellowship Church.
